Yes. That's fucking brilliant! It's definitely filling me with that special obsession where you want to hear it every chance you get, walking to and from work, at lunch, at home. Its just a beautiful album that has managed to worm into my emotional center. A beautiful gruff earthy folk/country album that is just great! .
Laid back dipping my toes in the country stream letting the whole world outside go insane. My kind of country. The sort of album that effortlessly becomes stitched into the fabric of your life without any seams.

New Oren Ambarchi just came out, some very beautifully recorded live takes on Knots from 2012's Audience of One. Each one goes in a pretty different direction from the original/each other and they don't feel the least bit redundant. I have no idea how this works on vinyl because one of the tracks is 24 minutes and the other is 41. But that second one in particular is huge and if you're interested in experimentalish guitar/drum combos with maybe some string business too, then this is something worth checking out for sure.

So I don't know if this has gotten any mention here, but it's fantastic. The album encompasses an incredible range of the experiences of a woman, from dealing with an unfaithful man, to being dependent upon a man for money and life, to overcoming negative body image and realizing the inherent value of oneself. Add in the fact that Sullivan has one of, if not the, best voices around in R&B, a voice that perfectly blends soulful longing and triumphant power, and you have one solid album. _________________ Progressive Rock
