Well. I wasn't alive in 1965, so I'd have some other questions first if I heard it back then, but I know what you mean. It's about 20 years ahead of it's time. I haven't heard anything like it until the past few years to be honest. It isn't really vocal jazz, and it isn't folk either... Really interesting listen.

I'm curious to see if he can pull some of these samples off.
