What it says on the tin. I'm sure some of you collectors have some curious vinyl, or at the very least have heard tell of some curious vinyl. Share it with us! 😄

Was it a Big Star record by any chance?

ELO Out of The Blue - Original Vinyl Release had a poster of the band and a cardboard cut out of the spaceship that you assembled.

Styx - Paradise Theater - Vinyl had a laser etched image on it. Back in the day (1981) I thought it was cool, I'd never seen anything like it.

Styx - Cornerstone - Packaging opened on the back. It was split down the middle and the album sleeve was held inside on the bottom flap so it wouldn't fall out. Also, the album sleeve was cardboard as well and all silver. It had what looked to be some musical notes on it. So being the dork I am, I played them on the piano and found they were the notes to the last song on the album. (Hey, when you are 14 or 15 that stuff is cool!)

When you have to move around a lot having lots of vinyl is just a pain in the ass; no matter how unique they are or how much you enjoyed the experience of buying and listening to them, in the end you just curse yourself for being such a big idiot.

I got a copy of Have One On Me yesterday, and it's pretty glorious 😄 It's more like a box set than anything else. I don't think I own anything else too interesting on vinyl.... Neko Case's The Worse Things Get... is kinda interesting though. It has an etching of a snake on side D, and comes with some temporary tattoos I think. That's about as exciting as my collection gets 🤣

The new Father John Misty album's packaging is pretty eccentric apparently.

Well Faust's s/t is basically a transparent vinyl in a transparent sleeve with the X-ray of a hand inside as well.

Ys is a motherfucking fairy tale book.

F#A# came with a penny flattened by a train.
