Yeah, I'm a big fan of Blood on the Tracks and an even bigger fan of Born to Run (fave album of all time).
So you could imagine my annoyance at how overrated Pink Floyd is on this site.
That's how it is for me with a lot of artists and albums. I'm a big fan of Radiohead, Pink Floyd, The Pixies, Arcade Fire, The Smiths, Neutral Milk Hotel, Joy Division. All those guys. But they're way too damn high.
So I hate to see Ok Computer at number one, and Pet Sounds not even in the top ten. It kills me.
I think you'll find most of the people on the forums don't really care about the ordering of the overall chart in the slightest.

The forums have a vastly different opinion to the overall. BEA's chart has a high level of user friendliness so we get a lot of people come in, make a chart and then never return so the rankings are a bit skewed. I think you'll find most people on the forums will agree with you (especially about Pet Sounds). Though, fair warning, The Smiths, Pixies, NMH and Joy Division are all forum favourites.

The stat geek in me actually finds the overall pretty interesting, but as far as bragging rights for album A vs. album B, no way. If anything, you'll get more cool points around here for loving artists/albums that aren't ranked high.
