does anyone have some lesser known greats from the 90s they'd like to recommend? I'm trying to stray away from the usual suspects (Radiohead, MBV, Nirvana) but I'm having a hard time finding stuff I truly love. Any and all genres are welcome.

Recommend me sth with guitar work similar to Earth's Hex or Neil Young's work on Dead Man, Le Noise and some of his other works. Kinda doomy gloomy smokey heavy slow high distortion, distantly melodic western kinda stuff.
Thanks everyone for all the recs. _________________ "I feel like for the last two years thereโs been sort of a sonic evolution happening and Iโve been experimenting more and more."
sageamagooProfile It's different now that I'm poor and aging, I'll never see this place again

Sparklehorse is one of the greatest 90's bands in my eyes, loved by Radiohead and Tom Waits. The first three albums are all masterpieces (though Good Morning Spider is my favourite).

Also, re: The Soft Bulletin, it isn't the first song that makes it great, it's the triple-punch of Suddenly Everything Has Changed -> The Gash -> Feeling Yourself Disintegrate. A truly perfect ending to one of my absolute favourite albums. _________________ Please feel free to throw album suggestions my way.
