Yeah I really wouldn't trust Wikipedia for verifying original release dates, RYM and Discogs esp are best for getting the full release schedule since singles are often given multiple releases. Although if it was promo-only release in a previous year but officialy released in yours I don't think that should be an eligibility problem.
