An abum I only gave an 85/100, still very good but not one I'm in love with, but an interesting one worth checking out. All thematically just about the digital age, and from the big hit Dangerous (about digital voyeurism) to the Rivers Cuomo feature Snowed In (about Snowden), it's an interesting listen. Musically electronic with some dubsteppier moments in ways that somehow worked. The kind of album I'd usually give a 60/100, 65/100, this was surprisingly good. _________________
At this point there's not much more to know. The album is titled Currents, and the cover is below. It's assumed that the track "Let It Happen" released a few weeks ago will be on it, and a new track titled "Cause I'm A Man" will premiere tomorrow. No release date yet, but considering they're embarking on a world tour in a couple weeks, it may be very soon. I really hope it comes before May 29th, so that they play a bunch of new stuff at the gig I have tickets for.
So apparently there's gonna be a new Mumiy Troll album. I don't really keep up with this band, but it has so much quality work that if this information is true (it's difficult to find information on russian groups) that Imma be a happy camper.
EDIT: Nvm, found the info on the fucking official website. THIS IS WONDERFUL. I love the body of work this group has released so a new album is gonna be to die for.

Really nice synth-pop ala Chvrches. Catchy, interesting, simple at times when it needs to be, just a nice, overall synth-pop album. _________________ Progressive Rock
