If you can find someone with autism that classifies as a Feeler, They may need to be re-diagnosed, because the traits of autism pretty much guarantee a Thinker _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

Are you talking like FULL-BLOWN autism, or just anywhere significantly on the autism spectrum (e.g. asperger's)? _________________

Well, the further on the spectrum, the more likely they'd be Thinkers. And men are more likely to be thinkers than feelers to begin with. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

This is true, but my original point (before we got onto autism) was that a majority of regulars here possess the F characteristic... which makes the correlation between T - male; F - female and forums inaccurate.
Also, there's regulars here with Asperger's that are feelers, which was what I was getting at. _________________

There's always exceptions to the rules. Not to mention Meyers Briggs is a scale and not exactly the most precise thing in the world. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

I know, right? I can't find that particular discussion, but it was a lot like this one [url=http://www.ign.com/boards/threads/do-you-know-any-girls-who-like-prog.96146133/url] here _________________ "Everyone knows the moon's made of cheese."

There can be a mis-interpretation that somehow because women don't often seem to get into the more obsessive, in-depth discussions about music and art that somehow their appreciation of it is more superficial than a man's, which isn't at all true. There just seems to be a far less need to always categorize or catologue their tastes, or to always have to get to the square root of why they like everything. I know (and knew) women who enjoy music immensely and love talking about it, but find the need to document every discussion (as a forum does) or how specific favorite albums or songs need to be ranked, rather strange. Again pardon potential stereotyping here but it seems like women can find it much easier to just enjoy what they love listening to, and enjoy it in a more social context, where with men it definitely seems to be a more obsessive relationship with their favorite art and often treating their appreciation of music like an overly-complex math equation that always needs to be solved.
And I do echo Meccalecca's sentiment on males often being raised with a more competitive mindset. On a site like BEA or it's brethern where rating/raking albums and discussing each other's charts and musical tastes, you can definitely see the user's more competitive sides get out from time to time (some more than others), especially on which users have the most unique charts, who's listened to the most albums or why these particular works of art have more artistic merit than others, though obviously just liking music and talking about it is not a game to be contested.

So many tl;dr posts in this thread, attention span too small.
I'm a member of my campus radio station (http://wmbr.org, shameless plug) and about half of our members are women. Well, tbh I haven't counted, but the fact that I haven't tells me that this isn't a concern at the station, and I can name several awesome female DJs among our repertoire. _________________
