Piper is not that great. It's not bad, but claiming that it is better than WYWH, A and TW makes me wonder if you actually listened to it or only fell for the myth. No offense meant, you may just have weird hearbuds. |

I listen to Piper more than any other Pink Floyd album according to my I-pod with Meddle in second. And I do prefer the albums in that order (I swear)
I just think that Piper is far more interesting than Wish You Were Here or The Wall. There is so much happening, it can be intense then gentle, serious and then hilarious. Also I don't like Welcome to Machine or Have A Cigar. Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Wish You Were Here with a couple of songs from Piper would easily be my favorite album. 8) |
I have heard that from numerous people that, like you said Pam, "I don't like Have A Cigar or Welcome To the Machine" Never could quite figure out why they are so disliked 🤔
Personally I like both songs a lot :D |
Well ALMOST everyone likes Wish You Were here, It's just that song the people know and like and Shine On You Crazy Diamond is... well it's pretty dam amazing. And the other two just don't really seem to live up to that, they aren't necessarily "bad" songs, they just pale in comparison I guess?
