Yeah, this is fucking great. Almost feels like the evil twin of that new Sparkling Wide Pressure album I've been loving. Little repeated motifs, not dissimilar to that Sergio Sorrentino vs. Machinefabriek collaboration from a couple years ago, but definitely more frayed at the edges, occasionally underscored by these big heavy drones that recall Baker's work with Nadja. Sinister and psychedelic at the same time, the last part of the first section (this album is two different 20-minute tracks) could easily soundtrack some lo-fi sci-fi about some lost astronaut hurtling towards his/her death. Also, I'm getting a definite Faust vibe at times, especially during the second section when these delayed guitars tangle around each other until they almost resemble melting NES soundtracks while some shitty cornershop fireworks ejaculate prematurely all over the place. Really cool shit - could definitely see dbz or KKS or Saoirse or Nech or Defago or craola digging this. Very promising first listen.

New Breaking Benjamin tomorrow, their first album in 6 years. Dear Agony was a pretty good album but that was a long time ago, I don't know if I can care anymore. Failure is an alright first single, I'll probably pick it up I guess.

Really good, for fans of heavy-ish post-hardcore and/or noise rock. Quite charted territory as you can see, within this short (?) perimeter they still sound angry and personal, with some space for twisted humour; and, more importantly perhaps, diverse. Quite personal
Terribly clumsy attempt at getting you to listen to this, but you should.
This was probably my most anticipated album of the year, but I admit I had pretty low expectations. However, I'm four songs in and this sounds pretty amazing. Recommended to any rock fans or anyone who likes multi-layered things.
And I guess the new Refused is streaming too if that's more your thing. _________________ And it's hard to be a human being. And it's harder as anything else.
