Best Ever Movies: 2010-2015 Edition [Dead]

Hayden · 2015-04-30T18:12:49-04:00

While the current best ever films list is being compiled, I thought this would be a decent spin-off. The best films of the current decade as tallied by BEA users. Essentially, this would be the exact same rules as the current Redux, except the films would have to have been released in the appropriate time frame. I think that anything with an American release date past January 1st 2010 would be accepted, along with any other international release past 2010. Thus, a film released in September 2009 at Cannes, but was later released in the US in February 2010 would still be eligible. I'm not sure what films this would apply to, but I think this is fair. Documentaries will be allowed, but shorts will not. All lists will be PMed to me, maxing out at 50. The final list will also only be 50 films. This will be compiled in similar fashion to BEA's ranking system (#1 = 50 points, #2=49 points, etc..) If everyone is game, I'll be happy to start accepting lists whenever. There currently isn't a deadline, but I feel like it will present itself in due time.

i'm in a similar boat as perm. i've seen a lot of recent releases, but man, not much worth the replay (and most of them shorts). in light of that, and yeah laziness/procrastination-ness, i'm going to have to abstain from this.

And yeah not too fussed about the final tally but if Hanna gets snubbed and The Avengers are tops I will lose all hope in humanity as we know it. And probably cry and kick a puppy out of anger. It's of that much dire importance.

Hanna is my #13 😁

Wait, what's a Hanna? Is it an 18-year-old girl you have a crush on when you're 13?
