My dad listens to a lot of soundtracks and compilations in the car: everything from early OC, Dark Was The Night, Digimon, etc. This reminds me a lot of that, but there's such a depressing lyrical message overall, it's a strange listen. Pretty bittersweet, only added on to the weird feeling I had when I realized I wouldn't be listening to those with my dad soon enough because I'm moving.
I wanna get back in on this. I know I have at least one album backlogged... Dear whoever last rec'd me an album here, what do you want me to listen to again?
in the mean time Ben here's a thing. Could see it going either way:
Really good stuff! This was a perfect album to start the day with, very ethereal and all, like good ambient often is. I don't think I could've loved the album closer more, "A Softer Light" was probably my favorite, great stuff, thanks!
I actually really liked this, really kind of laid back feeling, but still very personal, very emotional. It felt honest and genuine but it didn't come off feeling like Turnover was saying "HEY GUYS LOOK HOW PERSONAL I'M BEING ISN'T THIS SAD?" Good stuff!
This is some of the most fun I've had all year. On the surface it can come off as kinda cold and mechanical perhaps but I found it to be really light and playful at its core. Really interesting blend of various contemporary styles and continuing to prove that 2015 is a crazy cool year. Thanks Rocky ๐
wowowowowowow this was wonderful, I mean absolutely wonderful. It's that quirky, off-beat kind of hip-hop that I've grown to love. Milo's vocabulary is excellent, his flow is impeccable, there's so many clever lines and reference all throughout this album that it'd take me a few paragraphs to really talk about them all (Especially "Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc (For Schopenhauer)"). It's pretty obvious Milo is a well-read guy and he's really skilled, I loved it.
For you dbz, Gowi recommended this to me and I loved it so I'm passing it on to you:

hahaha well first off I'm thrilled you liked this so much, though I was actually tossing that to Benpaco ๐คฃ
but hey the more people who know about Milo the better. His more recent release A Toothpaste Suburb is also pretty stellar
Also I've already heard that Judicator album (blame Gowi). Got anything else?

Ohhh haha I was the last person to suggest something and you said Ben, so naturally I was confused. Regardless, I'm glad I listened to it.
