The not yet officially released new Ought album. So far seems a tad inconsistent, but the good songs are awesome. In adition to their usual Talking Heads/Wire/Velvets influence I hear some Life Without Buildings and Pavement too
It's grown on me a lot since I first heard it, one of my favorites of the year now. I've been listening to Ought a ton since I got to NYC, for whatever reason. I think More Than Any Other Day might actually be my AOTY for 2014 at this point. Anyways, the new album isn't quite as good as the debut was, but I started finding nuances in what they were doing on it a few listens in and now I'm really into it. Men For Miles, Sun's Coming Down, Beautiful Blue Sky, Celebration, and On the Line are all very, very high quality songs to me, among my favorites of 2015.
Also I just finished listening to the new Natural Snow Buildings album, very good.
