First track is superb, retaining the vocal brilliance of a track like 'Thank U Mum', and a same time making a clear statement as to how he wants to situate his work ('Real Blues' is actually a kora-inspired African piece) - coming from somebody whose work notably included loads of blues samples, I find the idea quite nice. One track in only though, let's see how this unfolds. Expectations are high.
EDIT: just realised the album art was drawing sand blown to uncover Navarre's face forming Africa. The plot thickens.
UPDATE: Really digging this, but especially the track 'Window Shades'. Great stuff. I don't remember the last time I heard something this unique sounding. _________________ Doubles & Conch
