If you like this album along with Hissing Fauna, you might want to check out the album they released in between them, The Sunlandic Twins. Musically, it's the middle ground between the 2 albums as you'd expect, but there's some cool sounds on there that are pretty unique for them. It's less based on hooks and more on repeated phrases, which I find interesting.
If you like the Twee sound of Satanic Panic, definitely check out their early albums, like The Gay Parade and The Bedside Drama: A Petite Tragedy. I've found that you either love them or hate them, but the people who love them really love them. As for their later works, I think they had a dip in quality after Hissing Fauna, with the exception of Paralytic Stalks, which sounds a bit like Hissing Fauna meets Ziggy Stardust, with dark overtones concerning Kevin Barnes divorce. Good shit.
Hm that part about repeated phrases sounds like itd be up my alley. Ill definitely check those 3 out, might see how many I can easily find and go from there. Cheers man
