I'd like to join in. Let's see what you think of one of my favorite albums of all time, Peeping Tom by Peeping Tom. Mike Patton is probably my favorite vocalist, and this is his best work in my opinion.
Kind of unfair because I was already very familiar with the group. However, it's a great effort of weirdly sounding alt country/gothic country. I love this album though it's not necessarily my go to country type stuff (I prefer things like uncle tupelo, hank williams 3, John hartford, etc.).
So basically you post an album for the person above you to listen to and you listen to the album posted below you, whenever that is. Then you write a quick thing on your thoughts of the album whenever you listen to it, and post a new album for the person above you. Only caveat is that you give an album to the person above you who posted an album, not someone who's just talking.
I'll take your As Tall As Lions album. _________________ Progressive Rock

Ok cool, so I will listen to whatever album is posted next?
Michaell13... were you trying to have me listen to an album?
bringing this thread back to life. Not sure how we let it die in the first place.
Listening to this right now Rocky. Will edit in thoughts etc.
lol I am the fucking worst
anyway, sorry Rocky but after the enormous wait I hate to inform you that I really wasn't feeling this at all. Was like the worst bits of crescendo-laden post-rock paired with my least favorite sort of indulgent black metal/blackgaze orchestral bits working together to desperately try to illicit any kind of emotion from me and the whole thing felt very shallow and manipulative and ultimately just no fun. Vocals were pretty cool though.
alrighty idk what that one guy is on about (gorguts are cool I guess) so ima ignore him and yeah Seth here you can listen to this:
this particular recording can be a tad hard to find, so hmu if you need a copy (and a brief ramble on the historical context of the piece and recording and on how I love it to death)
RoundTheBendI miss the comfort in being sadProfile Ground Control
