Right, I have a question here for the people who know stuff about classical.

Link

Namely, can any of you identify some of the pieces in here? I'm assuming they're not original Ifukube pieces as none of them appear in the 54-75 comp of his works from the movies and plus they don't sound like his usual stuff - I'm sure I've heard some of them outside of this trailer but I'm not sure. Been wondering for years what these pieces are, so if any of you could shed some light on them it would be wonderful.

Gojiraposting is a thing and it needs to stop

There needs to be more Hijokaidan posting in memory of Satie. Over the weekend, I hope to go through all the albums they have on Apple Music, including:

Emergency Stairway to Heaven (2015)
Jojo & Junko (2000)
Shumatsu Shorisu (2000)

Anyone want to join me, or have any other recs from them you think I'd enjoy? I've obviously The Noise, and I also really love

Both Noises End Burning by Borbetomagus & Hijokaidan

You barbarians won't drive me off the site as you did Satie. The walls of Constantinoplel are impenetrable, and shall stand forever as the bulwark against Serious Music Discussion.

Wait, why did Satie leave? I must've missed it and I can't find the thread. Or did he leave without notice?

Oh, never mind. Found it.

The soundtrack doesn't have any of the classical music (that I could tell)... this might be what you actually are looking for?

I think the melody you are looking for is at the end of this one (about 7 minute build up):

In which Jean Michel Jarre and possibly some random homeless dude arguably pioneer synthpop in 1972 (though thats stretching the term - can you imagine any station ever playing this?)
