Varmints by Anna Meredith

This is indeed magnificent. Incredible art pop with really vibrant instrumental composition. Never grows tired.

The Goon Sax maybe? Debut Up to Anything out tomorrow.

I thought it's been out for a while now?

Oh sorry. Out in France just now anyway.

It's all good. Release dates get really confusing when they vary between countries.

A Place To Bury Strangers - Kicking Out Jams EP
AJ Woods - The Fence
Austin Lucas - Between the Moon and the Midwest
Beak> - Couple in a Hole OST
Colin Stetson - SORROW
Dandy Warhols - Distortland
Deakin - Sleep Cycle
Frightened Rabbit - Painting of a Panic Attack
Fumaca Preta - Impuros Fanaticos
Jean-Michel Blais - Il
M83 - Junk
Parquet Courts - Human Performance
September Girls - Age of Indignation
Teleman - Brilliant Sanity
Tim Hecker -Love Streams
Troller - Graphic
Woods - City Sun Eater in the River of Light

There's one thing I saw that could be interesting, Sam Kidel - Disruptive Muzak. It's some sort of warped sorta-ambient take on muzak (tho also some big kicks too, nothing steady or anything), combined with recordings of Call Center employees that Kidel recorded without actually saying anything to them. I think I might pick it up, not sure though. like this clip sounds cool https://soundcloud.com/sam-kidel-1/disruptive-muzak-clip but previews on boomkat make it seem like the b-side is just the a-side without the call center recordings, which just from this glance at it doesn't seem entirely necessary.

i prefer this to what AnCo's been doing. i'd always thought Avey was my favorite member. maybe it was Deakin all along?

Friends,

On July 6th, 2015, I started working on my fifth solo album. I'm excited to announce that it is finished, and ready for you all to hear. It's called "The Mountain Will Fall," and it features Run The Jewels, Nils Frahm, and Matthew Halsall, among others. Songs will begin to emerge in the coming days and weeks, but the official release date is June 24th via Mass Appeal Records. In addition to the standard digital version, there will be double vinyl and CD examples, as well as some limited goodies we're putting together for fun. If you go to www.themountainwillfall.com, you can sign up for additional updates from me as we draw closer to release.

I truly appreciate all of the support I have received in my 25 years of sharing music, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to do so again. I'll be doing solo shows again starting in late June and continuing into next year, so I hope to see you all very soon.

Respectfully,
DJ Shadow

Pussy's Dead by Autolux

People who like dream pop/shoegaze and stuff like Deerhoof, you definitely want to check out this record. Really, everyone should because it possesses some of the best rock drumming I've heard in years.

I was wondering why I could hear a sudden raucous moaning as though an entire office somewhere in Chicago received the best news of their lives.

Really diggin' the new Tim Hecker record. Certainly is no Virgins or Ravedeath, but it's good to hear some new material by him. One of his more bright, atmospheric records.

Thought it was extremely boring.
