To put this back into ACTUAL DISCUSSION landโ my mother, whom of which I listen to her favorites on the anniversary of her birthday and death, was definitely into a lot of the typical culprits: George Jones, Kenny Rogers, ABBA, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Heart, etc.

Also to be more serious... my mom loved the carpenters and I think they are possibly the first group that comes to mind when the made up term (all terms are made up) of mom rock was first mentioned.
But she also liked Gloria Estefan and Julio Inglesias... so how does that fit. Something tells me it's got to be rockish?
