oh man. lots of good music this year! so tough to pick just 3.

Sun Kil Moon - Benji. Obvious as it may be, this was love at first listen.

Arca - Xen. Pretty recent discovery but I'm super into it. Upon hearing that he'll work with Bjork on her next album, I'm pretty psyched for that.

Vashti Bunyan - Heartleap. Sounds just like winter. this is gorgeous.

I've heard quite a bit from 2014 (for me anyway), though if anything changes I may come back at some stage to amend my choices. Personally, the year has had its decent releases but nothing has really socked me with how much I love it. A lot of music that I can respect as being of a high standard but simultaneously have a hard time connecting with, especially when compared to 2013.

Without further ado and in alphabetical order:

The Moon Rang Like A Bell

Sea When Absent

"What Is This Heart?"

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

The Honourable Mention:

Clark

The Feast of the Broken Heart

It's Album Time

Lost in the Dream

Our Love

Rips

A thing I've noticed in myself is a substantial shift in my tastes towards rock, which amuses because only approximately 2 years ago I had quite the disdain for rock, being an electronic purist. ๐Ÿคฃ
