Indeed a lot of the double albums you mention I have on one single CD: I would also include:
- Just One Night by Eric clapton
- Live 80/86 by Joe Jackson
- Girls! Girls! Girls! By Elvis Costello
- Between Thought and Expression by Lou Reed
- Out of the Blue by ELO
- The complete Live at Raji's by Dream Syndicate (discovered not long ago)
- Use Your Illusion by Guns 'n Roses (but maybe to be considered as two albums)
- Space Ritual by Hawkwind
- One for the Road by The Kinks
- Weld by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
- Summerteeth by Wilco

Fantastic! Thanks... I'll check them out. I don't think I've heard any of those.
Wikipedia itself has a warning that not all accounts will agree on what a double album is because of the re-release digital, etc... but just out of curiosity, which albums do I have listed you have as a single CD album which maybe was double vinyl... well and then there's the problem (which I hate actually), where they press a single album into two discs (Kid A for example is like this) with only 3 songs per side... I've heard claims it allows for more fidelity, but I dunno, that seems to defy logic (how do you get better than the master...).
Here's the "up for debate" list... (RHCP albums for example... there are only 2 real double albums from them). I only have one of those on the list... but BSSM is a long album. And then there's the "simultaneous releases" like Kid A and Amnesiac.
It seems like this should be a real easy concept, yet this list has so many different defininitions (some even have a time thing... over 60 minutes=double album, which there are plenty of single albums otherwise): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_album

Why are you against people making contributions about albums on a best ever albums site?
