I will never understand why Z-Ro isn't regarded as one of the best rappers ever. He's essentially a cross between Pac and Nate Dogg, and even at his worst he's still damn listenable. Thankfully, this sounds more inspired than his last few albums, and whilst not everything works it's definitely one of the stronger hip-hop releases I've heard this year. I'd prefer him to slow down and save all of his best songs for one album every two and a half years or so, but I also understand that sitting around and not selling albums doesn't pay the bills.
