What are your thoughts on this list? Do you miss certain albums or disagree with the order, or think it's a well made chart?

It's a decent list...personally I would have added the following albums.

Everything's Alright Forever by The Boo Radleys

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins

Sonny & Sam by Moose

Lovehappy by The Charlottes

Wings Of Joy by Cranes

Blue Day by Slowdive

Untouched by Secret Shine

In Solarium by Pia Fraus

Despondent Transponder by Fleeting Joys

Killing Time by Bleach

Disaster Tourist by Spotlight Kid

Excellent top 5. I was worried that Going Blank Again was going to get snubbed from this list. I'm glad I was wrong. Although they're primarily black metal and were therefore probably not eligible for this list, I think that Sunbather by Deafheaven deserves an honourable mention, which somehow managed to successfully blend shoegaze with black metal. Lastly, although #14 is a perfectly fine number, I hope that m b v will rise on these shoegaze charts in the coming years. It managed to do the impossible of being a worthy follow-up to Loveless.

^ Sunbather deserved more than an honorable mention imho. Blended metal and shoegaze better than any Alcest album did - and I really like Alcest. Not a lot of representation in this current decade, for that matter. I really liked Whirr's Pipe Dreams.

Great points, LordMark - I was surprised Split by Lush didn't make it - along with some other disagreements with album and rank particulars.

I went looking for The Raveonettes in this list but couldn't find them.

Jesu is on the list, so Sunbather should be that too.

I missed Spiritualized and Tokyo Shoegazer.

The absence of any reference to Cocteau Twins in the whole publicationis the dumbest thing I've read in a while.
