really? Kid A has always been a really relaxing listen for me.
I've always been kind of creeped out by "Everything in Its Right Place" (in a good way). I mean, it has these blaring, ghostly synthesizers and a repeated melody that sounds like a spell chant. It puts you in this deep trance. Thom Yorke in general is full of morose bitterness in his creations, so there's a huge cloud of uneasy darkness that follows Kid A all the way through, in spite of its ambient nature.
Hey, you know what? I've had Consumed in my top 100 ever since I made the chart, but somehow over time it got moved down from like the top 30 down to number 87. I'm not sure how I did that, but after listening to it again last night, I just moved it up 57 spots number 30 where it deserves to be. It might even go higher. Heh heh.

I agree with you. Some of my favorite electronic music is the kind that's not just creepy or scary, but more like creepy/pretty, or creepy/soothing. If u know what I mean.
