Thanks for posting this thread j-dog. It has been a time of mourning around our house, for sure. I remember the 2nd time I saw them, thinking: Gord Downie is the most alive person ever. The intensity of those live performances is out of this world (see below). I saw them 15 times over the years (counting the last concert, where I was in Market Square Kingston) and many of those are the best times of my life (Wasaga Beach 2002 was the best ... but they were all special*). We all loved the man and I think he'd be happy to be remembered as a great gift to us all, which he was.
*Fort York (2006) show was also great, 2 intimate shows 2 nights in a rown at Centre in the Square in my town, Kitchener, and of course, the epic Molson Park shows from Canada 125 in 1992 then ARA in 1993. ACC Goodlife 20th annniversary was also special, with great seats I had.
