Totally agree with the original post. I've just tried again some of his songs. Regular country music to me, i.e folkloric music. I like country music or rather what it evokes to me (America), but I like it much better if it's just some elements of country blended in rock, i.e Neil Young, Eagles.. Much more enjoyable songs in the end (dare I say better songs ?)
