gonna do a separate thread for a couple different artists...first up: Eminem Eminem - Still Don't Give A Fuck (0:30-1:15) (off The Slim Shady LP) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ax-xxsBsd4I&feature=youtu.be I'm zoning off of one joint, stopping a limo Hopped in the window, shopping a demo at gunpoint. A lyricist without a clue, what year is this? Fuck a needle, here's a sword, bodypierce with this. Living amuk, never giving a fuck Give me the keys I'm drunk, and I've never driven a truck But I smoke dope in a cab, I'll stab you with the sharpest knife I can grab, Come back the next week and re-open your scab A killer instinct runs in the blood Emptying full clips and burying guns in the mud I've calmed down now -- I was heavy once into drugs I could walk around straight for two months with a buzz My brain's gone, my soul's worn, my spirit is torn The rest of my body's still being operated on I'm ducked the fuck down while I'm writing this rhyme Cause I'm probably gonna get struck with lightning this time. Eminem - Sing For The Moment (1:25-2:45) (off The Eminem Show) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rDysbl6fAEEntertainment is danger, intertwine it with gangsters, In the land of the killers, a sinner's mind is a sanctum Holy or unholy, only have one homie, Only this gun - lonely, cause don't anyone know me. Yet everybody just feels like they can relate, I guess words are a motherfucker, they can be great Or they can degrade; or even worse, they can teach hate It's like these kids hang on every single statement we make Like they worship us, plus all the stores ship us platinum Now how the fuck did this metamorphosis happen? From standing on corners and porches just rappin To havin a fortune, no more kissin ass But then these critics crucify you, journalists try to burn you Fans turn on you, attorneys all want a turn at you To get their hands on every dime you have They want you to lose your mind every time you mad So they can try to make you out to look like a loose cannon Any dispute won't hesitate to produce handguns That's why these prosecutors wanna convict me Strictly just to get me off of these streets quickly But all they kids be listening to me religiously So I'm signing CD's while police fingerprint me They're for the judge's daughter but his grudge is against me If I'm such a fucking menace, this shit doesn't make sense see: It's all political, if my music is literal And I'm a criminal how the fuck can I raise a little girl? I couldn't; I wouldn't be fit to. Jay-Z - Renegades (feat. Eminem) (1:20-2:20) (off The Blueprint) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g59YKt1c1Y8 Since I'm in a position to talk to these kids and they listen I ain't no politician but I'll kick it with 'em a minute Cause see they call me a menace and if the shoe fits I'll wear it But if it don't, then ya'll will swallow the truth grin and bear it Now who's the king of these rude, ludicrous, lucrative, lyrics Who could inherit the title, put the youth in hysterics Using his music to steer it sharing his views in his marriage But there's a huge interference, they're sayin you shouldn't hear it Maybe it's hatred I spew, maybe it's food for the spirit Maybe it's beautiful music I made for you to just cherish But I'm debated, disputed, hated and viewed in America as a motherfuckin drug addict like you didn't experiment? Now now, that's when you start to stare at who's in the mirror and see yourself as a kid again, and you get embarrassed And I got nothing to do but make you look stupid as parents You fuckin do-gooders - too bad you couldn't do good at marriage! And do you have any clue what I had to do to get here, I don't think you do so stay tuned and keep your ears glued to the stereo Cause here we go, he's {Jigga durra Jigga da chk Jigga} And I'm the sinister, Mr. Kiss-My-Ass it's just a D12 - American Psycho (0:24-0:52) (off Devil's Night) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHf9LngnzGM I'm the devil - if ever there was such a thing The results of much too many drugs what you're seeing I'm a mindfuck, completely dis-(gus)-ting I'm (what?), a human mutt, fuck a being I'm a dog - fuck Lambs, I'm Silencing them all I'm involved in murders forensic science couldn't solve Giant set of balls too big to buy a set of drawers Might as well unzip my fly and let 'em fall to the floor Each thought's completely warped I'm like a walkin, talkin, ouija board
