Really cool unique original piece of art. I rather enjoyed this listen really cool atmosphere evoked by this record. thank yu for the little bit of background on it. She also has a rather dreamy quality to her vocals. A nice unique offering that i enjoyed a really cool mix of genres and influences creates sort of a timeless sound. This will make my year chart for sure and maybe more upon future listens.
Features future Allman Brothers Band member Butch Trucks (R.I.P.) a cool late 60's lost classic. Recently has been re-released on the Record Store day black friday sale. I rather enjoyed it hope you do as well.
This was OK. The lyrics and instrumentation are fairly typical of the records being produced at this time, but the songwriting was good and the mood was pleasant.
Surprised to not see this one on your charts. Give this a listen. (It's a double album; make sure to listen to the Live 2nd disc.)
That was a really good musical curiosity. I wonder if they knew what to make of this in 1975? RYM classifies it as heavy psych, which I guess it sort of is, but it's a raw, muddy, lo-fi mix of things that isn't really any definitie genre in my opinion. I did get an Iggy Pop/Stooges vibe at times, so I am calling a proto-punk influence. Anyway whatever it is I enjoyed it.
Real good southern rock album, the second album of this 2 record set was superior as most southern rock units they shine live when they can cut loose ad boogie. really fine album. Havew always wanted to listen to them but somehow always go after a different band thanks for forcing me to i will be listening to more and this again thats for damn sure. 4.5/5 Great stuff.
I don't generally have a problem with Jamiroquai, I think they can put together some fun music to listen to, but the schtick got kind of old on this album. There was little variety, virtually every song sounded like the one before it. I mean, it wasn't bad or anything, but I feel like the album became a bit of a chore towards the end.
Solid art pop album with good vocals. There's some diversity, but the album is mostly him carving out a musical space and staying in it. I doubt this will become a personal favorite, but it's good enough to add to my 2016 chart. 3.5/5.

I knew I had heard of this band before, and I think that I had heard some of their songs. Anyways, this is an energetic Japanese Psych Rock/ Noise Rock album, that Is consistent, but maybe a bit too repetitive.
Baystate, here's another Japanese artist with an album from this year. I just went back over it for this years review. I need to add it to my chart.
Great early Bobby Womack album, Love Bobby such a soulful performer with a smooth voice and a nice bit of coolness to him, not quite as funky as his later works would get but still has a real nice groove to it. A friend of mine was actually in Bobby's band at the end of his life so i am very familiar with his work but had not heard this full album before and am glad i have now. A real treat as is everything i have ever heard from Bobby Womack.
Really good house/techno album. Will make my honorable mentions chart for this year. Didn't always love the way the drums sounded, and there weren't many standout moments, which is why it won't make my top 100. 3.5/5.
This was okay. A bit strange at first but I got used to it as the album went on. Maybe a bit too unstructured for my tastes, and in the end too samey for my very basic jazz knowledge to appreciate any subtleties.
