Zoe developed a unique sound, that you may love or hate but makes them what they are and no one else. I would say it was hard to think in a band with that quality and with a similar style and then I remembered Zurdok's Maquillaje.
The production of this album is brilliant. Hope you like it.
I'm big on progressive rock, and the Mexican group Cast is a fave of mine. I've also taken a liking to Iconoclasta.
Excellent, if you like Rodrigo y Gabriela, my recommendation is Cabezas de Cera (Wax Heads).
This band lead by the Sotelo brothers is as prog and experimental as it can be. The thing I like the most of them is that besides using traditional instruments they create their own.

The track 'Reflejo' is such a gem, I discovered afterwards it got used in the first Black Mirror episode.
And there's been a resurgence of ambient music in recent years that's always worth checking out.
I find Mexico's more into live music though... there's good local stuff, but it doesn't particularly go on wax. Rock dominates. _________________ Doubles & Conch

Not a true answer to the OP but if you're willing to set your sights down further into South America, I would strongly recommend Argentine composer Osvaldo Golijov who has composed at least two of the most amazing works of the last 25 years with:
Cello Concerto "Azul" (2009)
Klezmer Clarinet and String Quartet "The Dreams and Prayers of Isaac The Blind" (1994)
Honestly, "Azul" is among the most powerful, affecting & profound concertos of all time. And "Isaac The Blind" is in the upper class of the chamber music repertoire.
His St. Mark's Passion, a highly colorful and spirited Latin American/African fusion into Religious Choral/Vocal music, is also quite stirring and compelling -- well worth checking out.
Though I have yet to rate/rank the St Mark you can find recommended recordings of the other 2 on my linked "Best Classical Recordings" list below this post. It makes sense that you have heard him more than us. In Mexico, ambient and experimental electronics don't have much projection.
Not exactly the same, you won't find him in Spotify, neither here in BEA, there is this amazing composer called Ernesto Martínez. He has an album mixed and produced by John Zorn's label, called Mutaciones:]]
Molotov has 1 of my top 50 albums, you could check it out. Great band some of the lyrics are a little bit misogynistic, but... rock n' roll on its best.
I don't know what you like the most form Molotov: the heavy riffs, the creative and ironic lyrics or the f#c% you attitude.
If it is the first one I can't think of any Mexican bands that have this thick sound. The two bass players in Molotov, create a rhythmical base that no other has.
For the other two aspects, I could think of Plastilina Mosh. They are oriented to electro pop, but they have an amazing album: ¡Hola, chicuelos!
