What an exciting round. I was kind of disappointed my nom went up 4-0 early on cause I do like both albums, but Whitney’s club really came back swinging, and now Anja is the underdog. What a riot. What a ride. What a life. What unknown pleasures.

Ended up going with Anja Garbarek but really like both.
If I had to do it over again, I'd have voted for Whitney. Such a grower and now pretty high up in my year chart. Still really like Anja too.

I didn't like the Anja Garbarek album as much as I had hoped. It was often interesting, but also oddly unsettling and unsatisfying, in a way I can't put my finger on. Still, a pretty good album, and one that feels worthy of another chance.
I didn't like the Whitney Ballen album as much as I had expected. The vocals weren't great, the songwriting was a little thin, and the instrumentals were nothing outstanding. Okay music, but nothing I plan on listening to again.
So Anja Garbarek gets my vote.
