When I'm doing something, I usually have music to help me focus. But there are some albums where I just completely lose focus if I'm doing something else. Though I enjoy listening to music while I read, it definitely doesn't help me concentrate. Loud funk or rock might give me a little boost when doing chores, but I can't say that any music actually helps me concentrate when I'm doing anything (other than listening to music of course!).

I cannot do much of anything while listening to music unless I'm listening to music, unless the activity requires basic thinking/only physical activity, like going on a bike ride, etc. I love to drive with music.
Audio books - good lord do I hate audio books. I read books.
Now - I can like put in headphones when I do less critical thinking tasks at work, which helps drown out conversations about the piggers at the water cooler.
