How did I not notice this until now? (While I haven't been posting much I've been browsing the site subtly still stealing recs and the like...)
Currently back in the homeland for Christmas then back to Calgary and work (though I've landed an interview for a much better job in the UK in the coming days), happy New Years to all! 🥳

Digging out this bad boy after quite some time, I've been on the road far too much to realistically sit down and gather my thoughts so most of my writing/lists have been done in a tiny little notebook til lately, anyway, this may of interest to someone, I've got a mountain of Irish albums/EP's that have probably been missed over here so I'm slowly gonna add to this chart (reckon 10 a day seems reasonable), currently sticking the chart in alphabetical order but gonna keep it open for public consumption in case people want some recs or shit, I dunno, enjoy maybe!

So I've been working on this Irish folk chart for some time now, going back and forth and changing everything but I've come to the conclusion I'll never be fully happy, I've got plenty more to add but for now I've kicked things off with 30 entries, hoping to add some notes, regarding the significance of the songs and artists in question within Irish culture, but again, I'll never be fully happy nor fully able to represent the strength of some of this songs within Ireland, so I've decided to open it up for now.
I have my phases where I just fall back into past Irish culture and it overwhelms me (in a good way). Anyway, this is one of those phases for the time being, so yeah, hopefully someone gets something from this and watch this space.
