Eric B. & Rakim - Paid In Full (Coldcut's Seven Minutes of Madness remix)

Apparently Eric B. hated this remix, referring to it as "girly disco shit". Rakim almost refused a Top of the Pops appearance on the basis they were expecting him to mime rapping over this version. It laid the foundations for trip-hop, The Books, and The Avalanches, and remains one of the greatest pieces of collage and/or pop art of the 20th century.
