Not as big a name as some so you might not hear it elsewhere, but Robby Steinhardt was a fantastic, multi-talented musician. His signature violin and co-lead vocals were absolutely integral to the greatness that was Kansas from their first album in 1974 through their heyday and up until a few years ago.

My son and I were fortunate enough to catch him with Kansas during their 40th Anniversary Tour and in addition to wielding a mighty violin and sharing his well preserved and wonderfully expressive voice, he was the main speaker between songs and demonstrated a personable demeanor that translated to an intimate rapport with the audience.

RIP Robbie. You will be missed by many and I'll be spinning my Kansas collection in your honor.
