I know I've had this come up before, and unfortunately I can't find the old thread for it, but I believe the response for it had to be intervention from AM:
There are 2 artists who need to be merged:
A Tribe Called Red (the group's name from 2007 to early 2021)
The Halluci Nation (the group's name as of early 2021, their most recent release is under this name)
For reference, We Are Halluci Nation by A Tribe Called Red is the last album released under the "A Tribe Called Red" name, and One More Saturday Night by The Halluci Nation is the first album released under the "The Halluci Nation" name.

Simply edit one of the two artist pages and make a comment under "Flag this artist for investigation:" using the first or third reason. A mod will review your source and take it from there.

Never realised this was actually possible... Wouldn't this be easier if data moderators could do the merge rather than having to flag individual artists?

Thank you! Just did that. So I was right that a mod/AM had to take care of it, but wrong in how to flag it, my bad 🫢

My impression is that this happens infrequently enough that it's not a big deal for mods to intervene each time? I might be wrong though, this is the second time I've brought it up 🤣

I believe it’s rare enough, and the consequences of a botched or inappropriate merge are significant enough, that it’s worth it to keep it limited for data integrity.

Yeah, I thought so.
Anyway, I can think of a bunch of artists I added that are aliases of others, I'll have to flag them in the next weeks, if I think about it.
