marilyn manson was gonna jump off a cliff and he said "exit music" kept him from doing it. It is one of the top 4 songs on computer. "Lucky" kind of sux and "homesick alien" has some sucky parts in it but other than that the album is nearly perfect. YOu just have to listen to it about 12 times and you will prolly start to like it. Amnesiac is the only one i loved instantly.

A record shouldn't take more then 2 or 3 listens to sink in, 12 is just overkill.

Anyway most of it is pretty acessible.

isit speaks the truth. On the 12th time you still won't find, what you're looking for

I agree with the subject of the topic. Radiohead is generally overestimated. I really think they are a very pedant band, and this is seen particularly in OK Computer, which is too much mind-blowing. That's the same for Kid-A, too experimental for me.
I don't think they are bad albums at all, and moreover, I put them in my chart (I put The Bends too of course, which is I think, the best Radiohead album, very original and consistent). But I must admit that The Dark Side, for example surpasses OK Computer. There's an exaggerated aura that turns around Yorke, for sure..

I must go with the opposite and say on a lot of albums I don't think they experiment enough!

Ok Computer is their best and when I'm able to expand my chart to 100 it will definitely show up

too itsit and an_outlaw: Most albums for me, good or bad take at least 10 listens to properly absorb, I usually have trouble telling whether I hate or love and album on the first 2 or 3 listens unless its 1. particularily terrible or 2. very simple and strait forward (say a Ramones album)

I like OK Computer, and can see why it is frequently #1 on people's album charts, but i do think Radiohead are overestimated - especially in the last few years. While Kid A isn't my favourite album i admire the huge change of direction they took with that album, but for me Amnesiac didn't have the same impact, and by Hail To The Thief i started losing interest. I have only listened to a bit of In Rainbows and haven't bothered with King Of Limbs dispite buying it when it came out.
I agree with Cabvo that The Bends is their best album, but I also think Pablo Honey is overlooked - there are some great songs on there apart from 'Creep' such as 'You', 'Stop Whispering', 'I Can't' and 'Lurgee'.
