This thread has encouraged me to start posting what I'm listening too more on here.

But

New albums I like I play them a lot. Certainly I was playing BRAT 15 - 20 times a week on release. So in the interests of this post being repeated again in the future and having accurate data in the thread I'd want my posts to reflect that. However it would also seem pretty spammy and not add value outside of accuracy to that thread. 🤔

Hey. It's a thread that moves really fast. We have some who listen to the same albums almost every day. The way I see it...it shows who you are, and what kind of listener you are, and where your tastes are. Because of that thread, there are people on BEA who I follow more closely because of their listening habits and the content of their collections. Don't worry about it. Let your music player, whatever it may be, set you free. So to speak. Maybe if you play an album twice a day, post it once a day. We'll get it. And you won't be alone.

😁

It is a great idea for a chart like everyone says 👏

Although the main issue I personally find with this chart is that you included even the times one user listened to a specific album multiple times.
E.g. the top 25th album is one that was listened 96 times, but 94 of those times were by a single user, as you said here.
I wish the chart would have displayed the most times an album was listened to by different users one at a time.
Also this chart is made to show the most listened albums by users who had been active in the forums, so any user who hadn't don't count, but it's probably an alternative to all the albums on BEA that have been marked as "listened" the most by users, so that displays the most listened albums by different audiences, so I like that idea.

Well, I included the number of different listeners in brackets. I could have used that as the main sort criterion. Kendrick Lamar would have been at number One then. But the numbers are too similar. There are basically the same 30 people responsible for most of the chart.

As for the albums marked as listened in BEA, I for one mark an album only as listened if I do not own it. One that I listened to on Youtube mostly. The ones I own, I listened by default and most of them many more than only once.

Perhaps I would've liked an additional alternate chart even if the numbers were too similar, but each to their own. The chart is helpful nonetheless considering how many of the same users wanted to listen to the album more than once, which shows the album's replayability among them.

I use this function similarly, but I guess other users use it differently, so its credibility of how many listened to a certain album the most might be questionable.

An interesting way to define "best album" too. Maybe the best ones are the one you just listen to the most. Fantastic list.
