It's been covered several times. Posting every single one of them here is not necessary...and why would anyone want to listen to more than a half dozen versions of the same song? The idea of the thread was to give a brief side by side of a song...not the entire recorded history of it.

James Taylor recorded the song for his sixth album, Gorilla, in 1975. The song was a hit, fitting in well with the mellow sound that Taylor had developed in his career at this point. While it was a bigger hit than the original version, it isn't nearly as strong a track. The recording features David Sanborn on saxophone and backing vocal from Taylor's wife, Carly Simon.
The original was recorded by Marvin Gaye in 1964. It was written by the top Motown songwriting team. This was an uncharacteristically upbeat song for Gaye. The track has a powerful rhythm and is highlighted by a fine rolling piano line.

I actually make playlists of different versions of songs that I like on Spotify. You can also find a few radio stations like this online. AccuRadio has a station called "One Song Radio". All they play is different versions of Antonio Carlos Jobim's "The Girl from Impanema".
