While Hedy Lamarr did not actually invent WiFi, Bluetooth, & GPS, she did invent the technology that made those inventions possible. We would not have WiFi, Bluetooth, & GPS today without Hedy Lamarr. I think her life story is more fascinating than any of her movies could ever be. I think there should be a movie about her life story.

I've always been a big fan of hers, since I was told she was in XTC at one point — which would make sense, since she had such high levels of cleverness, intelligence, and talent. But later I found out she was actually just in a movie with a similar-sounding name, not the band. Apparently the movie, Ekstase, wasn't even filmed in Swindon. 🤡
However, though it's obviously sexist of me to point this out, it's been suggested by quite a few cinema historians that Ekstase was the first non-pornographic commercial film to contain a scene depicting a female orgasm. See for yourself!

No, I don't want to see that. Not interested. I'm interested in the story of her inventions. I did see her in Samson and Delilah, though. And, I plan on watching another one of her movies too, but nothing like this one.
