Arguably the stupidest thing I've done on here since I ranked all the Bond theme songs, but I'm back to having time for music so I'm setting out on a new venture! Yes, that's right, listening to and ranking the Now That's What I Call Music! albums, one track at time. I recently got shown a full playlist of all the Now albums and it brought up a lot of nostalgia (the 50's/60's Now album were early albums for me in my musical journey...). Anyway, while digging through the list I came across several bangers (and several 'non-bangers'), and it's inspired to dig through the archives, one song a day, every day, for the foreseeable future. Am I crazy? Yes, absolutely, but anyway, let's crack on! 1 Phil Collins - You Can't Hurry Love https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9IwBJYTwQ0 Starting us off in 1983, with the original version of Now, is Phil Collins's covering The Supremes, quite enjoy this a lot in all honesty. Have been on a bit of a Genesis rediscovery journey of late and naturally that leads into Phil and his solo stuff. The man does make a good pop hit every so often (Easy Lover, dope), and I love the fact that he doesn't look remotely like a popstar (strikes me as more of an Eastenders character, plus he's got the name). Was on his 1982 album, Hello, I Must Be Going, which has made it onto a year chart of mine, and anyway, as the first song up, straight to number one with a bullet. Ranking: 1. Everything But The Girl - Missing (Todd Terry Club Mix)

One of those ones you know, but often forget at the same time.

Everything But The Girl has been around a long time, but this remix by American producer Todd Terry really took and became their big single, a year after the original came out.

Gets under your skin in a good way and I think it holds up pretty well 30 years later, a band I've nearly fully clicked with but can appreciate though.

Eternal - Power Of A Woman

So this is the first single off Power Of A Woman, Eternal's second album, and the lead single off and first since Louise embarked on a solo career.

I find this to be much more palatable than anything on their debut album, much catchier, the R&B comes through clearer and just much more of a groove to it.

I'm liking this more than I can remember or expected.

Almost Prodigy adjacent or something of ilk in terms of acid techno from the early to mid 90's.

I didn't expect to like this as much as I did, gets under your skin a bit.

Josh Wink is from Philadelphia and has some decent success in terms of remixing down the years.

Surprisingly good.
