ZZ Top was iconic for the foot-long beards grown by two of their members. Ironically, the member whose name was actually "Beard" was the one guy who didn't grow one. Never a flashy drummer, but he got the job done. Laid down the rhythms that made the band's music cook.

I like the fact that Frank was never, as far as I am aware, a flashy drummer. No drum solos (a pet peeve of mine). He was solid and effective and just drove the song along next to Dusty giving Billy the room to do his thing
