ZZ Top was iconic for the foot-long beards grown by two of their members. Ironically, the member whose name was actually "Beard" was the one guy who didn't grow one. Never a flashy drummer, but he got the job done. Laid down the rhythms that made the band's music cook.

I like the fact that Frank was never, as far as I am aware, a flashy drummer. No drum solos (a pet peeve of mine). He was solid and effective and just drove the song along next to Dusty giving Billy the room to do his thing
I've been in east TN for 30 years now and so it only makes sense that I be the one to announce this. Dolly Parton is now with Porter and Kenny again. Go here for the write up. She was 80 years old.
God bless you and her family always!!!

Very sad.
I was never a huge fan of her music however, at a charity that I used to work for we connected with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library where we distributed books to children. It was a great initiative and respected her as a person far more after working on that project. Great cause
My newest favorite singer is a huge fan of Dolly Parton. Right here is him singing some of her iconic song for her yesterday. You won't find another singer out there who is more respectful compared to John Foster.
