Minor annoyances/usability issues

albummaster · 2025-10-09T05:37:09-04:00

Probably opening myself up here as plenty on my plate already, but just a thread for anyone to list minor annoyances/usability issues/visual problems that affect your enjoyment of the site and I'll add to the list to mop up alongside bigger changes (I can't promise I can action them all, but if any common issues emerge these will be prioritised). (EDIT: To clarify, this is not meant to be limited to the forums, but site-wide annoyances e.g. home page, year/decade/overall/individual chart pages, album/artist/track pages, chart editor, admin pages etc).

Apologies just checking into now... (EDIT: This is now fixed).

I think there may be an issue with the artist "@", possibly due to their unfriendly band name when it comes to urls. I'm struggling to access their artist/any of their album pages

Thanks for reporting this. It does sound like the @ symbol in the artist's name is causing an issue (a few similar artists affected). I'll investigate and get this fixed, although it might not be straight away as any changes to the search functionality will need testing to make sure they don't introduce issues elsewhere (added to current workload).

EDIT: Ignore, not the issue I thought it was. Investigating...

Affected artists:

EDIT: Above pages now load correctly (separate issue is that this artist doesn't yet appear in search results).
