Given who you qualify as "electronic", my favorite was

"may seem macabre" by peter bjorn & john

also enjoyed tracks from cut copy, junior boys, digitalism and yes, "crystalline".

The best electronic album I've heard this year was Replica by Oenohtrix Point Never, way better than Space Is Only Noise.

Lol - if "May Seem Macabre" is electronic, so are The Smiths !


"Replica" is a good album. The soundscapes are beautiful, but some of the tracks seem undevelopped.
"Space Is Only Noise" on the other hand, struck me as emotionally cohesive, with a dreamy nostalgic feel throughout the album.

A lot of their picks for album -- Kuedo, Clams Casino, Replica, Andy Stott, Zomby, Machinedrum -- are spot on, though Jaar's album has yet to grip me in any effective sense. Plus, their top 10 tracks are absolutely impenetrable. If you haven't heard Blawan's "Getting Me Down," it's absolutely fantastic.
