I got an email the other day with someone asking to see a league table showing the total rank score for each year so they could see which years were judged better than others. I thought it might be interesting to post here the top 20 years on BEA (and the total score)... I might even add a summary page to the site somewhere too:
To me, it's no surprise that 1967 is number one, but some of the others might be more surprising. According to these numbers, 2007 was the last great year...

Hope 2010 pops up somewhere on the list in the future... Seems as if every album I listen to from that year is a great one (ok.. most of them are at least. didn't care too much for Kanye's album or Contra).
Listening to This is Happening right now... Even better than Sound of Silver, just great. And I still have some albums I expect a lot from to go (Age of Adz, High Violet, ...)
Other great years for me are on the list - most notably 1991 and 1997
