Rating Albums

When it comes to rating albums (or anything for that matter) do you prefer it to be out of say 5 stars or out of 5 stars but including half stars, out of ten or out of one hundred etc? I've recently set up a music blog and I am currently rating out of 5 stars with half stars inclusive but I am thinking of changing it to out of 100. Just wondered what people's view on this was and what they'd prefer to see.

it will be across everything. It's on a per item basis so any rating more than 3σ from the mean average for that item will be excluded from the Bayesian.

I agree with this idea.
I think it's going to be an improvement to the function of the whole site!
