Showed my wife (Croatian background) the videos on this thread. She was amazed how 80s Croat and Serb music sounded so alike the rest of the world at the time. Now she is looking at old videos that she remembers from her childhood. Good half hour so far.

I'm listening to a lot of "ex-yugo" music lately, and I'm surprised myself at the range and quality of the music from that era (and area), even compared to rest of the world.
