I saw this thread on Rate Your Music and I had been meaning to ask this on here, but didn't know how to phrase it. So basically, which is it more rewarding to be? Someone who really gets into certain genres and become experts on them, or someone who listens to everything?
For the most part I'm a specialist. I do plan on moving onto other genres, but at a slow pace, because I want to really know the genres that I already listen to.
