Hello! The idea's so basic I suppose it's already been pointed at, but I couldn't find it. Anyway; do you think it would be possible to be notified when another user mentions your name in a post? That would be grand for recs, among other useful uses. For instance, I just posted in the 'What album are you listening?' thread, and thought what I was listening could be of interest to someone and so I mentioned him, that person would be notified and would get a rec. Like a facebook or tweeter tag basically.

I know PMs exist, and I don't know how hard this would be to implement, still, what do you think?

This would really improve the forums for sure. I'm guilty of missing a lot of what people have said to me, so this would make things much easier.

Hopefully it's an easy thing to implement.

I like the idea as well. I'm sure I quite often miss things that I shouldn't and this would make it a lot easier to keep on top of requests etc.

Fantastic idea. This would surely increase the interaction in the forums, and likely draw in members who often sit on the fringes of discussion who don't have as much time to constantly check every thread to see what's going on.

this is such a good idea. i feel like an ass when I notice someone asked me a question days later and then I finally answer

I'm all for this, it could work like messaging by being notified when someone tags or quotes you, if that's possible.
