I actually really enjoyed the Jape album, I didn't know what to expect going in and was pleasantly surprised. It seems like a nice summer album.
But Stars of The Lid is still one of the most unique listening experiences I've had, it's something that falls between ambient, incredibly minimalist modern classical, the John Cage's vision of atmospheric silence. It's firmly in my top 10, has been for ages, and I can't see it leaving anytime soon.
Stars of the Lid. Surprised this was outside our Top 1500 though. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
Stars of the Lid are great, but I would be a little bummed if something that's no longer in the range won the tourney (not unfeasible at all for this album). Abstaining. _________________ My top songs of the 2010s

Didn't like Ritual. Stars of the Lid is among my favorites in the tourney, though I agree with revolver that its victory would be bittersweet. There are loads of albums I'll vote for over it, though.
It was when I nominated it, then people heard it and liked it I guess, because it's in half a dozen more overall charts than it was at the time of nomination. So it's a success story I guess.
Tired sounds is pretty good, but I have no intentions on listening to Ritual so not going to vote, but it'd be a bit unfair to tired sounds not to give it some praise.

Didn't like any of the two...Vote to the underdog. _________________ "And can’t you see you’re in on it?
